This year’s task of selecting the annual Study Award, Key Partner Scholarship and Key School Leaver Scholarship recipients was no less daunting than previous years. Applications from all around the motu – from Gore to Whangarei – again showed a passion and commitment to the property and construction sectors. Our Study Award selection committee, worked through a total of 67 applications which were refined down to 25 interviews out of which 14 scholarship offers were made. This year saw an increased number of Key Partner Scholarships with 13 being awarded and the inaugural Keystone Trust Pink Beluga School Leaver scholarship offered to a student from Rotorua Lakes High School. We were delighted to see an increase in applications from Māori rangatahi and young women with 50% of the Study Award intake identifying as female.
