Keystone appoints new Trustee, Kerin Russell-Smith

July 12, 2018

“I am passionate about working with youth and love the candour, motivation and inspiration they bring to the table, they make us strive to be better, innovative and safe.   There are many young people out there who don’t have the means or belief in themselves to realise their potential. The support and encouragement that the trust and industry peers provides goes a long way to helping them shine. These young people have the ability to go far and I am looking forward to playing what part I can in helping them realise the opportunities in front of them and our industry.”

The Board and Management of Keystone Trust are thrilled to announce the appointment of Kerin Russell-Smith as a Trustee. Kerin needs little introduction as an active contributor to Keystone events and a member of the Russell family, who are prominent across New Zealand’s construction and property landscape. Kerin’s parents, Alf and Lynne were undoubtedly her first business mentors, having first worked in the family business whilst studying at Otago University, through to today where she is involved in all companies and maintains a shareholding in the Group. Kerin serves on the Russell Group Board as a Director overseeing the construction industry and property companies. As a chartered accountant Kerin has over 25 years domestic and international experience, she has been around construction related activities all her life.

Kerin brings to the Board her passion for the sector, a strong leadership style that recognises the need to work together and being able to connect people, so they think and act constructively. Her ability to work the nuts and bolts as well as stand back and see the bigger picture will provide valuable support to the strategic direction of the Trust.

“Kerin brings energy, a no-nonsense style, and fresh thinking to the board and we are all looking forward to taking the trust forward with her support” – Greg Pritchard Chairman Keystone Trust
