What the future holds

Keystone Trust is well known in the sector for producing some of the best property graduates around. Being part of the Keystone family whether as a student, alumni member or funding partner gains high respect from your industry peers. We are actively seeking new sponsors and supporters in the industry to continue our consistent growth and allow us support more students.

Future growth and strategic direction

During 2013 the Trustees analysed the steps required for the Trust to move forward. Our analysis identified three key objectives:

  • Increase the number of students supported by Keystone Trust and consequently grow the industry’s talent pool.
  • Grow the capital base of the Trust to support increased scholarships.
  • Engage better with all stakeholders.

In 2013 the Trustees made the decision to engage a General Manager to oversee Keystone Trust and to help them ensure that objectives are achieved. Victoria McArthur took up this role in January 2014 and her role includes working with all stakeholders to ensure that the sector is engaged in the activities of the Trust.

Plans for the future

Each year we receive applications from many more deserving students than we can currently fund, our vision is to significantly increase the number we are able to support. The Keystone Trustees have invested considerable time into our future direction, and how we will achieve our strategic objectives.  We value the commitment made by our current industry partners and supporters, and urge them to continue assisting us in realising our vision in supporting tomorrows property leaders.

In June 2016, Keystone Trust launched the Keystone Foundation, focusing on harnessing the philanthropic generosity of the property and construction community, allowing it to reach its objective of growing the Trust’s capital base to provide long term financial independence for the Trust.

The Keystone Foundation is governed by Guardians approved by the Trust. The role of the Guardians is to seek support, by working with the wider property and construction community to raise funds; and to work with the Keystone Trustees regarding the application on the funds.

You can find out further information on the Foundation and ways you can donate by visiting the website.

Why Keystone Trust makes a difference

Our students and alumni speak for themselves as why we make a difference. You will hear the stories a number of times, in differing ways, that the Keystone scholarship programme is more than the monetary value, its about the support that everyone associated with the Trust invests in these great young people. As you read our student and Alumni stories we hope that you can see for yourself what a difference we make.

The Keystone Foundation

“Over the past year the trust has taken the necessary steps – with the establishment of the Keystone Foundation – to provide a long term financial independence. With this structure in place, the Keystone Trust can continue to grow and offer more scholarships to provide a pathway for young people to achieve their career aspirations, with opportunities that may have otherwise been unavailable.”   Mike Higgins, Chair Keystone Trust
